NaNo is going strangely so far. Good, but strange. Having a hell of a good time, though

So ... anyway, I'm working another character through a set of prompts (much easier to flesh them out than the standard character questionaire, right?) and well ... I've come to the conclusion that while the word 'sex' itself is fairly obvious (and the writings almost never wind up being about sex), other perfectly innocent words will bring the raunch right on. "ears" for example, or "hair" ... the latter got me a little over a full page.

Is it the characters in my head, or just me in my head, or is it just a guy thing in general? Because what came out certainly was NOT what I'd intended with those prompts.

Okay ... so, I was having problems with some of the content in Daz Studio, so I rearranged my folders. Files I'd already done disappeared. Found them (in some odd places ... Vista is a strange, strange beastie), they wouldn't open up.

Desperation, cuz these are characters I DON'T have in Poser format ... uninstalled and reinstalled DAZ ... EVERYTHING opens up, so I re-save a couple things.

Works dandy till I reboot my computer. Now, nothing opens up ... I changed NOTHING from the reinstall to the reboot. WTF??

This has been posted on the bug report link at Daz's website, but no response yet. Anybody got suggestions? I'm up for ideas. (although, I do have the biggies I was looking for exported to Poser, but ... I'd like to know what the heck's going on?

Anybody else doing it this year? I have no plan, no story mapped out, no characters *eyes all the potential suspects and prays for volunteers*

This is kinda how I went into it the first time, and turned out a little over 25K words of complete and total garbage. Last year, I had a plan, and it all went up in the air ... but I got 50,319 words. Sadly, again, it was mostly crap.

My characters all got away from me, and the whole story went in a totally unplanned direction. I've been told that means I need to focus more, but I'm not sure about that ... Focus was there, writing got done, and when I looked at it, it was so not what I'd planned on writing. Seems I have no control over the characters in my head ... Don't know why that should be any different than the rest of my life

Does anybody know anything about current bankruptcy? Cuz well ... that's most likely in my near future. Like ... very near ...

Why is it if you have a mortgage and a home equity loan from the same creditor, the two divisions can't talk to each other? The mortgage department was able to find me for the foreclosure, but the collections attorney can't be bothered and instead sent everything to the old house. He didn't KNOW the house was in foreclosure? Come on, people!

Anyway, judgement has been found against me and the ex, and wages shall be garnished ... I'm not arguing that we owe the money, but ... if he'd bothered to get the correct addresses, maybe something could have been worked out?

But ... the long and the short of it is ... garnishing my wages will leave me without enough money to pay my bills. So, I'm not seeing much in the way of options here. I don't WANT to do this, but it's not like my credit can get much worse than it is. And if it'll stop the "Surprise! You owe us thousands of dollars!" letters, maybe it's the right thing to do right now?

EDIT - okay, that store's gone or shut down ... but she has a new one. May want to keep an eye on it. And no, that doesn't mean go harrass her. If you see stuff you don't think was authorized (or know it wasn't), be civil about it. I don't think I recognize anything yet, but ... (new store ->[link] )

On 's journal, she's got a link to an Etsy user selling people's art as her own. Not only that, but giving people the right to use said art for other projects. I went, poked through, and I KNOW I've seen some of these before -> [link]

If you know anyone whose art you recognize, you might want to give them a heads up. I haven't been through her entire shop, but I know there's a lot of things I recognize, just the eyes caught my attention first.
